Amy (“Ms. Amy”) has been a pediatric Occupational Therapy Practitioner for the past 8 years following her graduation in November of 2015. She is an Owasso graduate from the class of ‘02 where she met her husband, Ben, her high school sweetheart, and love of her life.
Amy has a strong passion for treating children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, social and emotional developmental delays, and those with PTSD or complex trauma history as she is currently raising three awesome neurodiverse children of her own.
Amy has been utilizing the DIR Floortime Model in her treatment sessions for many years now and enjoys watching children blossom into the best versions of themselves in addition to educating caregivers on how to implement strategies into their own homes for optimal success.
Amy will tell you that OT is her calling, her passion, and that she is dedicated to contributing to improving the lives of children and their families. Amy was inspired to pursue a career in OT after witnessing what pediatric therapy did for her son; a pediatric stroke survivor.
Those that know Amy best, know about her intense love for Harry Potter, her chicken obsession, her creativity, and look forward to seeing what hair color she will choose next!
When Amy is not at the clinic, she is likely spending time with her husband and three children, attending her children’s soccer or baseball games, or tending to her one million farm animals on the homestead; Jones Acres.
